I love the written word, and I especially love it when it’s written well. I fix typos in books as I’m reading them. I point out incorrect grammar on road signs and restaurant menus. My friends and family have always come to me to edit their writing, and when I started Pinkleberry, I began proofreading for my clients as well.

I’ve worked on everything from press releases to graduate theses; you’ll find a sampling of other projects I’ve done below, but I’m happy to edit almost any kind of writing. I’m also a volunteer proofreader for Distributed Proofreaders, which proofs books for Project Gutenberg’s online ebook archive.

No matter what you’re writing, it’s always good to have someone take a second look – after hours of reading the same words over and over, your brain starts to see what it thinks is there, not what’s really on the page. $3 per page for Proofreading: Includes checking your work for errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation and formatting.

$4 per page for Editing: Includes all of the above proofreading services, plus reading for clarity and suggesting rewrites and/or structural changes.

Most jobs can be done within 48 hours, but I understand that sometimes you don’t have that much time. If you have the ability to schedule with me ahead of time (“I’ll have 10 pages to be proofread on Thursday morning,” for example), I can arrange to be available and give you a shorter turnaround time.
